The local fire departments are flow testing hydrants throughout the County which may cause some residents to experience brown colored water and/or lower water pressure. If you experience brown colored water, the water is non-hazardous and is still safe to drink. The brown color in your water is caused by sediment in the waterlines which get stirred up during flow testing. To flush the water lines in your home, turn the bath tub faucet on and let it run for a few minutes. If you continue to have brown and/or lower water pressure, please contact us at 455 0722.
