The Onslow Water and Sewer Authority (ONWASA) is partnering with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program to help bring toys and smiles to needy children throughout the community by proudly being a local drop-off site for the Toys for Tots program. A donation box for new, unwrapped toys will be available in the ONWASA front lobby located at 228 Georgetown Road, Jacksonville between the hours of 8AM through 5PM Monday through Friday. Donations will be accepted beginning Friday, November 16th until Wednesday, December 19th, 2012.
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year and to distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted, as stated on the official website http://camp-lejeune-nc.toysfortots.org.
ONWASA Executive Director Billy Joe Farmer stated, “ONWASA employees are proud to play a role in this worthy cause and to help give back to the community we serve. This is a great opportunity for us to work together to brighten the lives of Onslow County’s children.”
