To participate in a blood drive, donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health and have valid photo identification. Eligible blood donors can give every two months.
Presenting donors will receive a chance to win a $1,000 gift card to be awarded as American Express Gift cards in denominations of $500 via the American Red Cross for a regional drawing on March 31, 2013.
If a minimum of 25 donations are received the day of the blood drive, all presenting donors for the ONWASA blood drive will also be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card once the blood drive is complete.
“The need is constant. The gratification is instant. So please, if you are healthy, come out and support your local Community and help save lives”, said Kristin Willis, American Red Cross Donor Recruitment Representative for the Eastern North Carolina Donation Center.
