ONWASA's Customer Service Department has recently received calls from customers with regards to a company who is contacting customers and stating they need to make an appointment so a water sample from within the home can be taken.
ONWASA is in no way affiliated with any company or organization doing this as ONWASA does not sample water from inside of homes.
ONWASA is also not affiliated with any company or organization requiring pipe insurance on the water and/or sewer lines inside of the homes. ONWASA waterlines and services stop at the homeowner's meter box and from the meter box to the home is the homeowner's responsibility. However, as stated, ONWASA does not require any homeowner to have insurance on the home's water and/or sewer pipes inside of the home.
If anyone ever approaches your home and you are unsure if they an ONWASA team member, you may ask for identification or call our customer service office at 455-0722. All ONWASA field personnel wear uniforms which clearly state they are an ONWASA employee with their name on the shirt. Each field personnel also carries an ONWASA ID card and will be in an ONWASA vehicle which are all white with the blue ONWASA logo clearly printed on the doors.
