There have already been major main breaks in the Swansboro and Verona areas. We have secured some additional fuel resources for our service trucks and our generators. ONWASA repair crews are in the field and are repairing mains as long as weather and road conditions allow. We are refueling generators daily unless we cannot reach them due to flooded roadways. Unfortunately, flooding is spreading. We anticipate losing the ability to refuel generators in some areas. Therefore, we are advising all customers that you may experience water loss. In the interest of public health, I am issuing a boil water advisory for the entire service area. This boil water advisory is in effect until further notice. If you have already lost water service, know that we have crews in the field that are working to repair mains. If you have not lost water service yet, take this opportunity to fill containers and tubs with water immediately. At this point, we will discontinue individual notices of outages and individual boil water advisories. The entire system should anticipate outages and is under a boil water advisory.
